Hayes buyers get VIP treatment

Buyers at Hayes Apartments were given the VIP treatment with strawberries and Pimms at this year's Royal Welsh Show as they visited the 'Cardiff Capital for Shopping Garden' stand, which won a silver gilt at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and took the prize for Best Commercial Stand at the show.
The Cardiff Capital for Shopping Garden was designed by Cardiff Parks Services to celebrate the opening of St David's on 22 October this year. The shopping themed flower display featured a large shopping bag overflowing with plants, plus four raised beds acting as shop windows representing different aspects of shopping in the city. The capital's traditional arcades were also present in the garden, represented by a delicatessen and a jewellery display.
Buyers at Hayes Apartments - a development of 304 luxury homes sitting above the new St David's shopping centre - were treated by developer St David's Partnership as they viewed the display and learned more about St David's. The buyers themselves can look forward to more greenery when they move into their new homes as Hayes Apartments have a unique rooftop courtyard garden set in the skies right above the city.
Jan Eldridge from Hayes Apartments said: ''The stand was really buzzing with so many visitors coming over to find out more about St David's and Hayes Apartments, including VIP visitors Lord and Lady Mayor and the Chief Exec of council Byron Davies, who were delighted with the response the stand received.
''All of visitors were amazed to hear about the rooftop garden, which is totally unique to the city and delivers a whole new way of living in Cardiff. Many others wanted to learn more about St David's and to hear about the new shops they can look forward to in the autumn, including John Lewis which is opening on 24th September.''
Over 1000 trading stands featured in the Royal Welsh Show this year, which is Europe's biggest agricultural show. During the four day event, it's estimated that over 270,000 visited the showground.
